2 — Data collected and purposes

2.1 Website browsing

The web server automatically records technical browsing data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, request timestamp) that are essential for the site to function. These data are stored in system logs for a maximum of 30 days and are not used to profile users.

Legal basis: legitimate interest of the Controller (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

2.2 Contact form

When you send a message via the contact form we collect your first name, last name, email address, topic and message text for the sole purpose of responding to your request. Data are retained until the request is resolved and in any case no longer than 2 years.

Legal basis: performance of pre-contractual measures at the data subject’s request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

2.3 Axelera membership

Membership fees are processed exclusively through the Open Collective platform. Axelera does not collect or store payment data (credit cards, bank accounts, etc.). Open Collective processes your data in accordance with its own privacy policy: opencollective.com/privacypolicy.

2.4 Embedded YouTube videos

Event pages embed videos via the YouTube service (Google LLC). When you play a video, YouTube may set cookies in accordance with its own policy: policies.google.com/privacy. We use the youtube-nocookie.com domain to reduce tracking before playback.

2.5 Discord server

Access to Axelera’s Discord server is voluntary. Discord Inc. processes user data in accordance with its own privacy policy: discord.com/privacy.

3 — Cookies

This site uses only strictly necessary technical cookies (language preference, theme preference). No profiling, advertising or third-party tracking cookies are set. For a full list see the Cookie Policy.

4 — Disclosure of data

Personal data are not sold or transferred to third parties for commercial purposes. They may be shared with technical service providers (hosting, email) acting as Data Processors under Art. 28 GDPR, with appropriate contractual safeguards.

5 — Transfers outside the EU

Axelera’s servers are located in the European Union. Third-party services (Google/YouTube, Discord) may transfer data to third countries. Such transfers take place in accordance with the safeguards required by the GDPR (Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions).

6 — Your rights

Under Articles 15–22 GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access — obtain confirmation of whether data concerning you are processed and receive a copy;
  • Rectification — correct inaccurate data or have incomplete data completed;
  • Erasure (“right to be forgotten”) — request deletion where the legal conditions are met;
  • Restriction — request restriction of processing;
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format;
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest.

To exercise your rights write to info@axelera.eu. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with the response you may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante): garanteprivacy.it.

This policy may be updated. The most recent version is always available at this page. Substantial changes will be communicated by email to members.
